Rachelle Hakim’s interest in fashion began in high school. Giant mood boards were created as her bedroom was plastered with hundreds of fashion magazine pages. She surrounded herself with color, design and her favorite ads.
While studying electrical engineering at Auburn University, Rachelle’s creative side kept pulling her towards art, music, and beauty. After graduating, Rachelle moved to Aspen, Colorado and discovered her talent for floral design. By day she created extensive floral installations at luxury resorts. By night she was a go-go dancer at the legendary club Tatou. There she found her natural styling ability costuming the dancers. Rachelle was inspired to learn more about costuming and found Valencia Film School.
Rachelle’s career in costuming and wardrobe styling flourished quickly after film school. She has taken her flair for style on projects around the globe, filming from Los Angeles to Thailand, Chicago to Morocco, and New York to Europe. She now has over 15 years experience in the industry. Rachelle has worked with amazing directors and photographers and continues to love the creative collaborations that come from the industry.
